Smyrlis Racing is at home at the real racetrack. In preparation for real races, we use the virtual racetrack, too.
Training with simulators is a cost-effective opportunity to gather driving time. Together we are practising for upcoming events. Especially the mental aspects can be practised effectively at virtual races.
Champion “Virtual BMW Cup“
In early 2020, the DMV BMW 318ti Cup started an exclusive race series for real racers of the cup. The first “Virtual BMW Cup“ with six events was created.
Smyrlis Racing claimed the championship title in the debut season. In the driver and team standings, Smyrlis Racing secured positions 1 and 2.
“Super Racer“ Florian Bodin
Florian Bodin is driver and coach for Smyrlis Racing and he is successful as simracer. At the event “Super Racer 2019“, Florian succeeded against lots of competitors and won the whole competition.
Florian convinced the jury with his skills in the simulator as well as his speed on the real racetrack. His prize was a full season in the VLN with a KTM X-Bow. Florian mastered this challenge and even accomplished class wins.
His experience from the BMW 318ti Cup was definitely helpful. Florian is the champion of the BMW 318ti Cup in 2017.
